Volunteer at the Race Of Champions New Zealand

The Race Of Champions is coming to New Zealand for the first time, and MotorSport New Zealand is calling on volunteers to help deliver one of the biggest motorsport events this country has ever seen.

Taking place at Hnry Stadium, Wellington, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 January 2027, the Race Of Champions brings together some of the world’s greatest drivers to battle it out head to head on a purpose-built stadium circuit. Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas, Chaz Mostert and Hayden Paddon are already confirmed, with more big names still to be announced.

The action gets underway with practice on Friday 8 January, followed by the ROC Nations Cup on Saturday night and the individual Champion of Champions final on Sunday night.

Why volunteer?

Volunteers are the backbone of motorsport in New Zealand, and an event of this scale simply can’t happen without them. MotorSport New Zealand is working alongside the event organisers to deliver the sporting side of the Race Of Champions, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Whether you’re an experienced official who has spent years trackside at club events, or a motorsport fan looking for a unique way to get involved, this is a rare chance to see a world-class event from the inside and work alongside some of the best in the business.

How to express your interest

If you’d like to volunteer, complete the Expression of Interest form by 31 October.

Please note that this is an expression of interest only. We are expecting a high level of interest, so submitting a form does not guarantee a volunteer role. Successful applicants will be contacted directly with further details about roles and requirements.
